TNEA 2022 Application Process - Steps for Filling the Registration Form
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) releases the application forms for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The application process is conducted online, where the candidates are required to submit details such as personal, educational, and contact information. Please remember to fill out the application form only through the official website. Candidates who have completed a 10+2 level of education are eligible to fill out the application form. TNEA 2022 Application Process
The application process comprises of the following phases:
- Registration
- Login
- Filling Personal Details
- Fill Special Reservation Information

- Preview/Submit Application
- Download Application
Step 1 - Registration
- Visit the official website https://tneaonline.in/.
- Click on the link for TNEA 2022 application.
- Enter name, mobile number, email ID, etc. for registration.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Register’ button.
- On successful submission, the User ID will be sent to candidates registered mobile number.
Step 2 - Login
Now, log-in with the user ID and password to complete the application form.
Step 3 - Filling of Personal Details
- Fill the complete details such as parents’ name, gender, nationality, communication address, religion, caste, Aadhaar number, state, etc.
- Click on ‘Save and Proceed’ button.
Step 4 - Fill Special Reservation Information
If you are under any special reservation viz. ex-servicemen, sports, or differently-abled person, provide the information.
Step 5 - Fill Payment Details
Make payment of the application fee. The payment can be done through debit card/ credit card/ net banking or offline mode. For offline fee payment, make a demand draft in favour of “The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University” payable at Chennai. Other state candidates can pay the fee only through the online mode.

Step 6 - Fill out Scholarship Information
- Provide your annual income and scholarship information.
- Click ‘Save and Proceed’
Step 7 - Fill School of Study Information
- Provide complete details of 7th to 12th standards.
- Click the ‘Save and Proceed’ button.
Step 8 - Fill in Academic Information
Enter details of the qualifying exam, such as the name of the board, marks obtained, and qualified year.
Step 9 - Fill in Additional Information
- Provide additional information such as parent’s occupation, mother tongue, the medium of instruction, etc.
Step 10 - Preview/Submit Application
The Preview of the filled application form will appear. Check it carefully before submitting it.
Step 11 - Download the Application
Download the application form and take a print.
- Submit the application form and other documents at TFC. Documents to be submitted are 10th and 12th mark sheet, transfer certificate, community certificate, HSC hall ticket, nativity certificate, first graduate certificate, special reservation documents,
- The filled TNEA application for 2022 will also be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.
