SSC Stenographer Group C & Group D Exam 2018 – Online Application Process Begins

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited the applications for the post of Stenographer to fill the vacancies (number not specified) in different Central Government Ministries/ Organisations/Departments and their subordinate offices all over the country. Interested candidates can apply for the exam through the official website -ssc.nic.in. Please ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the exam.

As per the official notice, “Vacancies will be determined in due course.”

The commission will hold a competitive Computer Based Examination for recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Grade ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) posts.

How to apply for SSC Stenographer Group C & D Examination?

• Go to the official website - https://ssc.nic.in
• If you have applied for any of the SSC exam earlier, log-in using your registered email ID and password. If this is the first time you are applying for an SSC exam, you need to click on ‘New User? Register Now’ link in the ‘Login’ section. SSC follows one-time registration – if a candidate has registered at SSC’s website once, they are required to just log-in and apply for any exam they are eligible for.
• If already registered, log-in and complete the application process for Stenographer Group C & D exam 2018. Else, complete the registration process to get your log-in details and then log-in to apply for the exam.
• Fill the form carefully; select exam centre preference, the medium of skill test, upload photograph & signature and make fee payment.
• Take the printout of the successfully submitted application form for future reference.

Candidates are not required to submit/post the printout of the application form to the Commission at any stage of the recruitment process.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹ 100 (One Hundred only) through SBI Challan/SBI Net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.

Female candidates and those belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from fee payment.

Age Limit

Stenographer Grade ‘C’

Minimum age limit must be 18 years and maximum age limit must be 30 years as on 1^st January 2019 i.e. candidates must be born on or after 2^nd January 1989 and born before or on 1^st January 2001.

Stenographer Grade ‘D’

Minimum age limit must be 18 years and maximum age limit must be 27 years as on 1^st January 2019 i.e. candidates must be born on or after 2^nd January 1992 and born before or on 1^st January 2001.
