SSC JHT Syllabus - General Hindi, General Eglish, and Paper-2
SSC JHT syllabus is prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission through the official notification for the exam. SSC JHT Exam Pattern
The SSC JHT recruitment process comprises of two papers and document verification. Here are the recruitment stages:

- Document Verification
The exam pattern for Paper-1 and Paper-2 is as follows:

Marking Scheme
In Paper 1, each question will be for 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
In Paper-II, different marks are allotted to different questions. No specific marking pattern is prescribed for Paper-II. The total marks for the paper are 200.
Document Verification
All the candidates who qualify for Paper-I and Paper-II are called for the Document Verification (DV) process. Candidates are required to carry the prescribed documents (in original as well as photocopies) for DV. They are also asked to provide their preference for posts and departments at the time of document verification. The final allocation is done based on the candidate’s performance in Paper-I and Paper-II and the preferences given at the time of Document Verification.

Paper-I:

- Synonyms
- Vocabulary
- Articles
- Spelling Test
- Correct use of words
General Hindi -
- Antonyms
- Synonyms
- Phrases and Idioms
- Proverbs
- Comprehension
The questions are formed to check candidates’ understanding of literature and language.
The questions will be of the bachelor’s degree level.
Paper-II:
In Paper-II, questions will be on translation and essay. Here is what the paper will include:
- One passage for translation from Hindi to English
- One passage for translation from English to Hindi
- An essay in Hindi
- An essay in English
The questions in Paper II are asked to test the candidates’ skills in writing the language and translation skills. The level of the paper will be as per the prescribed educational qualification.
