Nationality and Citizenship
To be eligible for the SSC JE exam, candidates should meet up the Nationality requirements decided by the Commission. The details of the exam are as follows:
- A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1st, 1962 intending to stay permanently in India. Or
- An Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma and East African countries with the intention of permanently of staying permanently in India.

Important Note:
- Applying students will require producing the genuine documents of their degree or diploma along with the SSC JE application form.
- The posts where experience is required by the candidates, they need to submit the proof of their statement.
- Students belonging to Open and Distance Learning mode are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates who are called for documents verification at SSC allotted centre will be required to produce the relevant certificates in original such as Mark sheets, Provisional Degree/ Diploma Certificate, etc as proof of holding the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-08-2019.
