SSC JE 2020-21 Notification - Important Dates and Eligibility
The Staff Selection Commission invites applications from the eligible candidate for Junior Engineer recruitment every year. It is an open competitive exam conducted at the national level. The qualified candidates are posted as Junior Engineer in various ministries/ departments under the Government of India. The SSC JE 2020-21 official notification is yet to be released. The notification contains important details such as application process, exam pattern, vacancies, syllabus, admit card, fee, result, etc.
SSC JE Updates - The SSC JE 2019-20 Paper-I has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. The new exam dates will be announced soon. The notification for the SSC JE 2020 recruitment will be tentatively released in August 2020.

Eligibility for SSC JE Exam
Candidates are always advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully before filling the application form as if any candidate is found ineligible at any stage, he will be disqualified. Here are the eligibility details:
Nationality
A candidates must be either:
- An Indian citizen or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India or
- A person of India origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Zambia, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam, and Ethiopia to permanently settle in India
Education Qualification
Engineering degree or diploma in the respective fields (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) from a recognized University.
Some posts also require experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance. Such experience should be acquired after completing the educational qualification. Training, internship, research experience gained while pursuing the degree/ diploma, will not be counted as experience.
Age Limit
Age limit in some organization is up to 30 years while in others, it is up to 32 years. Relaxation in the age limit is provided to reserved categories’ candidates.
