What is RPF in Railway?

RPF or the Railway Protection Force is a security force of India invested with safeguarding properties of Indian Railways, railway passengers and the passenger area. The interesting fact is that this is the only security force that has been entrusted with the power to arrest, investigate and prosecute culprits or criminals. RPF works under the authority of Ministry of Railways.

RPF Constable Exam 2018:

Every year, the Railway Protection Force conducts various exams to recruit eligible candidates to fill in a wide range of positions in the Indian Railways. The Railway Protection Force Constable exam is one of them. The exam is conducted to recruit skilled personnel for the constable positions. To crack RPF Constable Exam 2018 applicants must get well acquainted with the syllabus. The exam has been scheduled to be held in the month of October 2018.

RPF Constable Notification 2018:

As announced by the Railway Protection Force, the registration for RPF Constable begins from June 1, 2018. The online submission of application forms would be closed by June 30, 2018. The test will determine the fate of 8,619 candidates who will have to undergo a selection process comprising computer-based test, document verification and physical efficiency test.

RPF Constable 2018 Exam Pattern:

Let’s shed some light on the exam pattern of RPF Constable 2018. This is a computer-based test (CBT). There will be three subjects from which candidates will get questions. The interesting thing is the applicants can opt for any one language from the following - English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujurati, Bengali, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam, Konkani, Kannada, Manipuri and Assamese. There will be 120 questions carrying 120 marks. The exam duration would be 90 minutes. Here’s the classification of the exam pattern –
