NEET-PG 2022 Application Process Started – Eligibility and Documents
The National Board of Examinations has started the NEET-PG online application process 2022 on 15th January 2022. Applicants with MBBS Degrees can now access and submit the online application on or before 25th March 2022. Earlier, the Board has cleared the air about the NEET-PG 2022 exam date. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET-PG) 2022 will be held on 21st May 2022.
As per the official notice, “NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.”.
However, the below-mentioned medical colleges or institutions are not “covered by centralised admissions for Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Masters of Surgery (MS) seats through NEET-PG”.

NEET-PG Application Process 2022:
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2022 application process comprises 6 important steps –
- Step I – Registration

Note: Candidates must note that NBE only entertains applications submitted via online mode. There is no other option (print copy or offline mode) for submitting the NEET PG 2022 application form. Read out the complete information about the application process underneath.
Step-by-step Guide to Fill in NEET-PG 2022 Application Form:
To ensure that your application form has been submitted successfully, you must follow the steps carefully. Also, candidates are encouraged to read out the Information Bulletin before moving ahead with the procedure.
Step I – Registration:
- Visit the official website of NBE (https:/nbe.edu.in)
- Click on ‘NEET PG’
- You will be directed to the ‘NEET-PG Login Page’
- Fresh applicants have to click on the ‘New Registration’ link for registration. Those who have already registered can simply choose the other option, i.e. ‘Applicant Login’ using Candidate ID, Password and Captcha.
- Fresh applicants must register themselves for the exam to get a ‘unique login ID’.
- After the unique login ID is created, candidates can avail the same right in their email and mobile inbox. They need to change the password and log in to complete the application process.
Step II – Filling in Fields with Personal and Educational Details:
Step Number II requires aspirants to enter their personal details such as
- Name of the Candidate
- Mother’s Name
- Father’s Name
- Contact Details – mobile number and email ID
- Category
- DOB
After filling in personal details, click the ‘Proceed’ button to enter academic qualification details. Here are the fields that you need to fill in the section.

Note: Make sure that all the details are filled in correctly. Providing wrong information will result in the rejection of the application form.
Step III – Payment:
- The NEET PG 2022 application fee needs to be paid via online mode.
- Candidates can use credit or debit cards or net banking to complete the process.
- Application Fee for General and OBC Categories – ₹ 5,015/-
- Application Fee for SC/ST/PWD – ₹ 3,835/-
If an applicant makes the payment multiple times during the online payment process, NBE will refund their money within 15 days after due verification. However, no refund will be made if more than one application form is submitted by the particular candidate.
The Board says, “Appropriate action shall be taken against the candidates who have submitted their application form multiple times”.
Step IV – Selecting Exam City:
The next step gives an opportunity to the aspirants to select their preferred exam centres or cities (around 255 cities) based on the availability of seats on the given date of the submission of the application form. The selection of the examination centre will solely be on a first-come and first-serve basis.
Step V – Uploading Documents:
Here, you need to upload the scanned images of the passport photograph, left thumb impression and signature. The digital photographs must meet the specifications prescribed by the Board. Take a look below –
- Passport-size Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 50-100 kb size and 3.5X4.5 cm dimension.
- Signature Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 10-50 kb size and 6X3 cm dimension.
- Left Thumb Impression Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 10-50 kb size and 6X3 cm dimension.
Step VII – Printout of Acknowledgement Page:
After successfully making the payment, uploading the images and filling in all the required details, you will need to take a printout of the confirmation page for future use.
NEET-PG 2022 Correction Window:
Applicants are only allowed to edit their application form from 29th March to 7th April 2022. No new application can be registered during this period. Candidates can make any correction in the editable fields only. No further editing will be permissible in the application form after the edit window is over. However, applicants can make the required changes before the last date of the application form submission.
Non-editable Fields:
- Name of the Candidate
- Email ID
- Nationality
- Test City
After the closure of the application correction window, applicants can be contacted if any incorrect image is uploaded in the application form. The final edit window to rectify deficient images (photograph, signature, thumb impression) is 03rd April to 10th April 2022.
Note: Aspirants are advised not to complete their application registration process in hurry to avoid any errors or typos.
Vital Instructions for Filling NEET PG Application Form:
- The NEET-PG application process is entirely online.
- NBE will not entertain applications that are sent or submitted offline.
- Candidates need to visit the official website, i.e. www.nbe.edu.in to fill out the form.
- The process started on 15th January 2022.
- Applicants need to take a printout of the filled application form till NEET-PG 2022 counselling process is done. Details mentioned on the form will be required for All India 50% Quota Registration.
- Providing false information will only result in the cancellation of the application form. The concerned candidates will further be debarred from taking any exam in future.
- Payment will be made online only. Keep the credit/debit/net banking details ready beforehand.
- Preserve the scanned copies of the recent passport-size photograph, signature and left thumb impression.
- NEET-PG Application Form Essential Documents and Their Specifications:
The MBBS aspirants are advised to keep all essential documents ready for an easy and hassle-free process. They need the scanned images of the recent passport-size photograph, signature and left thumb impression.
Guidelines for Scanning Signature, Photograph and Left Thumb Impress:
NBE will accept the uploaded passport-size photograph if it is obtained through –
- Webcam or digital camera
- Scanning a physical photo
Photo through Digital Camera –
- If you are using a webcam or digital camera to take the photo, set the resolution of the camera to the highest level.
- Make sure the background is white, and there’s ample light for a great picture.
- The ideal size of the photo should be between 50-100 KB.
Scanning Physical Photo –
- Passport-size colour photo with a clearly visible face.
- The photo should be recent (6 months old).
- It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
- The dimension of the photo should be 3.5X4.5 cm.
- Scanner DPI should be 200.
Signature Guidelines:
- The signature must be clear, on a white paper sheet within a box of 6X3 cm.
- The asked size is 10-50 KB.
- It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
- Scanner DPI should be 200.
- There should not be any overwriting.
- It should not be in BLOCK LETTERS.
Left Thumb Impression Guidelines
- Use black or blue ink for left thumb impression on a white paper sheet within a box of 4X3 cm.
- The asked size is 10-50 KB.
- It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
- Scanner DPI should be 200.
Parameters to Check Scanned Images
Even after following the guidelines, most candidates fail to keep up with the right size and dimension. So, how to be sure that the images to be uploaded have the ideal sizes and dimensions? Check below steps –
- You need to right-click on the particular image before uploading.
- Go to ‘Properties’
- Here, you will be able to see the size, file type or format and dimension.
NEET-PG 2022 Admit Card
The NEET PG admit card 2022 will be issued to the candidates who make successful online submission of the application form. The Board will issue the hall tickets only after the test centres are allotted. The admit card will be released on 16th May 2022 and will remain available till the exam date. The call letters will be sent on the registered email IDs of the applicants. Download the same and affix the latest passport-size photo in the right place.
Specifications of Passport Photo for Admit Card
- At least, 35X45 mm size with 75% face and head coverage
- At the bottom, it should have the candidate’s name and the date of taking the photo.
- The photo should not have stains, scratches, kinks and reflections.
NEET-PG Eligibility Criteria - Who Can Fill Application Form?
Nationality –
- If you are an Indian national, you surely can apply for NEET-PG 2022.
Academic Qualification –
- You must have passed NEET-UG 2022 or hold an MBBS degree from an institute recognised by MCI Act, 1956
- Must have a one-year internship or about to complete the internship
- Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K, are not eligible for All India 50% Quota Seats.
Age Qualification –
- Anyone who fulfils the qualification mentioned above can take the test. There is no upper age limit for the entrance exam.

Sorry, NBE doesn?t allow correction in the application form after the last of registration. Modification in the application form can be made only till the last date of the application process.
