NEET Counselling 2020 – Seat Allotment Results Out for 2nd Round, Check Details
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET UG 2020 MBBS and BSC Counselling Round 2 results on the official website. The students who have applied for Round 2 of the NEET-UG 2020 counselling can visit the official website to check the allotment results. The NEET-UG 2020 Round 2 allotment results have been released in the form of a pdf document.
To check the NEET UG MBBS and BDS Counselling Round 2 Results students are required to visit the official website and click on the link provided. According to the notification available, candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 of the counselling process will be able to download the allotment letter from today – 30th November 2020, onwards. Candidates who have been allotted seats must note that the allotment letter is mandatory for the students reporting to the colleges allotted for admissions. Earlier the online registration process for the second round of NEET 2020 counselling was started on 18th November 2020. While, the National Testing Agency was announced the NEET 2020 Result by 16th October 2020 on its official website. After the declaration of results, Medical Counselling Committee commonly known as MCC has released the dates of online NEET Counselling on 23rd October 2020 on its official website. The Committee will be conducting the online counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed and Central Universities. The state-level counselling will be administered separately by the state counselling authorities. Candidates can check the NEET 2020 Counselling Schedule from the authorized portal of MCC.
Get The NEET UG 2020 Round 2 Counselling Results Online
In order to check the NEET UG Seat Allotment Result of Counselling Round 2 students can click on the result link provided on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee. The NEET-UG 2020 results will include details such as the rank secured by students in the examination, Quota and college allotted, course and admission status of the students in Round 1 and Round 2.
Those students who have reported in round 1 of the admissions have not been allotted seats in round 2 of the admissions. The allotment of the students in round 2 has been conducted based on the choices entered by the students during the application process for NEET UG round 2 counselling.
NEET 2020 Official Statement (Out) –
Candidates who are participating in the 2nd Round of Counselling for NEET 2020 are advised to go through the important instructions mentioning on the site. These instructions will help candidates understand the counselling process and also point out the important terms and conditions for the same.
- As directed by the Supreme Court of India, Students taking admission to MBBS / BDS programmes under AIQ (All India Quota) will not be permitted to vacate seats.
- Candidates allotted seats under 2nd Round in AIQ/ Deemed Counselling, can only opt for Exit with Forfeiture of security amount.
- Candidates who are registered in 1st Round but didn’t get seats are eligible to participate in the 2nd Round.
- Registered candidates whose seats got cancelled after being allotted in 1st Round during document verification, are eligible to participate.
- Candidates allotted seats in 1st Round but those who are seeking upgrading.
- Candidates who have been allotted seat under 1st Round but those who have not joined.
- All Candidates need to register fresh for Round 2. There is no automatic carry over.
NEET Counselling 2020 Complete Schedule
The registration process for the NEET Counselling 2020 has started from 27th October 2020 and will conclude in 24th December 2020. The NEET Counselling 2020 is dispersed into two rounds- First Round and Second Round. The registration window for first round online counselling has begun from 27th October 2020and ended on 02nd November 2020, whereas, the second round NEET counselling will begin from 18th November 2020 and end on 22nd November 2020.
Documents Required for Admission Confirmation
Following the declaration of NEET 2020 Counselling Results for 1st Round, candidates who have been shortlisted will have to visit the assigned institute for document verification process. As part of the verification process, the Medical Counselling Committee prescribes checking and verification all documents that are necessary for admission process. These include:

Important Note: Those students who do not willing to take admission after the second round of NEET counselling process, get their registration fee refund. In order to take a refund, one will have to report to their allotted college or institute and need to inform that they wish to forfeit their seats. How to Register for NEET 2020 Counselling – The Steps:
NEET counselling registration involves 5 important steps. Check them below –
- Step I – Visit www.mcc.nic.in and click on ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link. On the left side, you will find the ‘New Registration’ link. Click on it to enter details like roll number, application number, the name of the candidate, mother name, DOB, email ID, mobile number and security PIN and ‘Submit’. New login credentials will be generated. Use the new roll number and password in Step II.
- Step II – Revisit the web portal and select ‘Candidate login’.
- Step III – Use the login credentials – roll number and password and ‘SUBMIT’.
- Step IV – The next step will ask you to enter your name, roll number, mobile number, registration number and mother name. Click on ‘Submit’.
- Step V – Select ‘Confirm Registration’. You will receive a registration slip. Now you can take a printout of the registration page.
Key Features as stated on the official website –
- Confidentiality of Password is solely the responsibility of the candidate, and all care must be taken to protect the password.
- Candidates must take the printout of the final locked choices for submission during reporting.
- For security reasons, after finishing your work, kindly click the LOGOUT button and close all the windows related to your session.
- Candidates are advised to keep changing the Password at frequent intervals.
NEET 2020 Merit List – How’s it compiled?
The merit eligibility is prepared as per guidelines of the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India. There are a few determinants of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Merit List. They are –
- The students must score 50% marks in NEET 2020 entrance test.
- They should have passed English, Physics, Chemistry and Biotechnology/Biology subjects separately with 50% marks (together).
- The merit list has a pre-determined number. If it fails to attract the required number of candidates, the central govt in consultation with the Medical and Dental Council of India (MCI & DCI) can reduce the minimum required percentage at its discretion.
NEET 2020 Counselling - Choice Locking Options
When will the choice locking option be available to the students?
The choice availability and locking facility will be available from 28th October to 02nd November 2020. It will be available for a limited period on a particular day. Go through the steps beneath –
- After successful registration, you need to select the ‘Choices Available’ option.
- You will be able to track the choices available and the choices that are already submitted. As per the availability and your preference, you need to select the colleges.
- Now select ‘Lock Choices’. This is an important section as no one would be allowed to change their choices once it is done.
- Take a hard copy of the same. Make sure the locked choices carry details like the locking date and time, system-generated number and computer IP address.
NEET Mock Counselling 2020:
Medical aspirants should make the most out of the mock counselling facility. Otherwise known as indicative seat allotment, the NEET Mock Counselling gives a tentative idea of the seats that you might get based on your rank and choices.
NEET 2020 Seat Allotment:
An email or SMS containing brief information about the allotted college and course will be sent to the candidates. The physical presence of the candidates is sought by the particular college within the specific day and time. They need to confirm their seats by remitting the course fee. Those failing to do so will not get any seat, and their seats will be transferred to other aspirants.
Who Can Apply for NEET Second Round Counselling 2020?
Candidates who could not get a seat in the first round of NEET counselling 2020, whose admission is cancelled owing to change of category and who opt for an upgrade during the reporting period are eligible for the second round of NEET counselling 2020.
