LLB Admission 2022 (Law) - Entrance Exams, Top LLB Institutes, Dates, Selection & Eligibility
Bachelor of Law or Bachelor of Legislative Law or Bachelor in Laws and Legislation or LLB is an undergraduate degree in law. Often termed as the first professional degree in law, LLB admission is offered by several top-grade Indian universities and colleges. Considering the popularity of the profession, students are showing tremendous interests in pursuing the legal course. In the past, too, illustrious predecessors such as Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Rajendra Prasad were great lawyers who donned many hats including politicians, freedom fighters, writers, etc.
The Director of Institute of Technology & Management (ITM) Law School, ITM University, Prof, S. Shantha Kumar opined, “Only Law graduates can adorn the offices in all the three organs of the Government; namely the Legislature, Executive and the Judiciary. Other graduates may occupy the high offices of Legislature and Executive, but not in the Judiciary. This is precisely the reason why it is often said that a Law degree can open the door to a wide variety of careers, which other degrees might not.”
