Teaching has been amongst the popular career choices of all the times. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate level degree programme for those interested in teaching profession. It is a 2-years duration programme for graduate candidates in any discipline. Interested candidates are required to appear in an entrance examination. Questions on Teaching Aptitude, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, General English, and General Awareness are included in the entrance examination. State-wise entrance examinations are conducted for the programme and some institutes also conduct their own exams. Admission Process

There is no big difference in the admission process of different institutes. Generally, the admission is done on the basis of merit list prepared after considering the performance of candidates in written exam and interview.

Higher Education Option

After completing the bachelor’s degree, candidates can also go for PG level education in Education. They can enrol in Master of Education (M.Ed) programme for specialization in any of their B.Ed. subjects. You also have the option of joining a job after completing B.Ed. and pursue M.Ed. through distance mode.
