LIC Assistant 2020 Exam Syllabus for Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and Hindi

LIC Assistant exam is conducted for recruitment at various posts viz. Cashier, Single Window Operator, Customer Service Executive at different branches of the Life Insurance Corporation across the country. The selection process comprises of two phases viz. Preliminary and Main. The preliminary phase comprises of Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and English/ Hindi language tests. And, the Main exam comprises of tests for Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General/ Financial Awareness, English, and Hindi Language. In the article here, we are providing the syllabus for all the tests/ subjects of the LIC Assistant exam. Preliminary Phase Syllabus

Numerical Ability - Simplification, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, Approximation, Data Sufficiency, Data Interpretation, Quantity Based Questions.

Reasoning Ability - Number Series, Coding-Decoding, Seating Arrangement, Alphanumeric, Puzzles, Syllogism, Inequality.

English - Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Error Correction, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test.

Main Phase Syllabus

Quantitative Aptitude - Data Interpretation, Percentage, Average, Speed, Distance, and Time, Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Number Series, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Ratio and Proportion, Mixture and Allegations, Simplification and Approximation, Numbers and Ages, Permutations and Combinations, Volume and Surface, Mensuration.

Reasoning - Statement Based Questions, Cause and Effect, Seating Arrangement, Statement and Argument, Syllogism, Alpha Numeric Sequence, Logical Deduction, Coding-Decoding, Puzzles, Analogy, Statement and Argument, Odd One Out, Blood Relation.

Candidates are also advised to solve the sample papers for exam preparation and practice the previous years’ question papers.
