JEE Main 2021 April Application Form and Document Required
JEE Main April 2021 application process is active. The registration has started on 25th March 2021 and will continue till 4th April 2021. JEE Main 2021 application forms are made available for February, March, April, May separately. A candidate has the option to apply for one session or more than one session (February/March /April /May 2021) together and pays the exam fee accordingly. The JEE Main 2021 application window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result of the February / March/ April Session.
Every year, this national level entrance exam is conducted under the direction of the National Testing Agency (one of the biggest exam conducting organizations) via online mode. The Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) is performed to offer admission in major reputed courses like B.Tech / B.E, B.Arch, and B.Plan offered in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other engineering, architecture, and planning institutes. The application process of JEE Main 2021 includes the major steps such as registration, filling the application form, uploading scanned images, payment of application fee and at last taking the printout of the filled-in form. To successfully apply for the JEE Main 2021 April application form, candidates must check the JEE Main eligibility criteria as prescribed by the conducting authority. The Joint Entrance Exam Main 2021 application form will be available four times a year for February, March, April and May sessions. For the year 2021, JEE Main is going to be held four times. The February session exam was held from 23rd to 26th February, the March session from 16th to 18th March 2021. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already begun the application process for the Joint Entrance Exam Main 2021 on 16th December 2020. The registration for the April session has again opened on 25th April 2021. To fill the JEE application form, candidates are required to complete the step-by-step guide mentioning below:
How to fill JEE Main April Application Form 2021?
Before filling JEE Main application forms, candidates should ensure that they have all the documents needed to fill the application form along with their debit/credit cards that are required to pay the application fees.
Documents required for the application –
- Class 10th and 12th academic details
- Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment Number
- Scanned images of passport, voter ID or any valid Govt ID
- Valid email ID and Mobile Number
- Credit/Debit/Net banking details if the fee is paid online
Steps to apply for JEE Main Registration 2021
Step 1: Register yourself for JEE Main 2021 Exam
- Visit the official NTA JEE Main website.
- Click on the “JEE main 2021 registration” link and start generating your login id by entering all the asked details.
- Now, create a Password and then proceed further for the next step.
Note: Already registered candidates are not required to register on the website. Such candidates can sign in to JEE Main's official website with their old credentials.
Step 2: Fill the online JEE Main 2021 application form
Next, candidates need to enter their personal, academic and contact details in the application form. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.
- Exam - Choice of paper - B.E./B.Tech or B.Arch or B.Planning. Candidates must also select the preference of exam language in which they want to appear.
- Personal - Here candidates have to provide name, category, father's and mother's name etc.
- Guardian Details - Provide details about parents/guardian's occupation, qualification and total annual income among others.
- Communication - Candidates have to provide their residential and correspondence details.
- Academic - Give details about class X and XII qualifying examination.
- Preferred exam cities - Candidates have select 4 cities as per preference for JEE Main 2021.
Step 3: Upload scanned copy of necessary documents
Now, applicants are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specifications prescribed by NTA. Before applying for the JEE Main 2021 registration, candidates should have a scanned image of his/her recent photograph and signature.
Here are some of the most important details that candidates should remember before uploading the scanned photograph and signature.
- The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it
- The photograph should not have the candidate wearing a cap or sunglasses
- Spectacles are allowed
- Polaroid photos are not acceptable
- Candidates with an unclear photograph will be rejected
- Candidates are advised to reserve 6-8 identical photographs for all future purposes including the seat allocation and admission process

Step 5: Print the confirmation page
The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after the successful payment of JEE Main 2021 application fees. Candidates must keep the acknowledgement page till the admission process is over.
Documents to save after submitting JEE Main application form 2021-
Once JEE Main registration process is over, listed below are the documents candidates need to be preserved:
- JEE Main registration confirmation mail and print out of the same
- JEE Main admit card 2021 issued by NTA and downloaded from the official website

Steps to check JEE Main application form status for April 2021-
NTA will provide the application status window for the candidates who applied and filled the JEE Main application form on the official website. The “Application Form Progress” feature will be available in the left corner of the JEE Main application window. Candidates will be able to check their status for the below-mentioned states of the application process:

JEE Main Correction Window
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will activate the correction window, once the application process gets over. During this period candidates can edit/change/update their particulars in JEE Main 2021 application form. Candidates have to enter their application number and password on the JEE Main login window. Below are some of the details that the candidates must keep in mind before editing their application form.

- Visit the official website of JEE Main 2021.
- Navigate and hit the tab of ‘JEE Mai application correction window’.
- Enter your Application Number, Password, Security Pin (displayed on the screen).
- Click the ‘Login’ button.
- Click on ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ to edit and make changes.
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Edit the information and make the changes
- Pay an additional fee if required via Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM.

Q. I misspelt my mother’s name by mistake so can I change it?
Yes, you can edit your mother’s name in the form during the application form correction within a given period of time.
Q. If the email id is entered incorrectly while filling the application form, will it affect the download of the hall ticket?
In this case, candidates need to login to the systems with their roll number and password, which are stored on the email, just check in your personal mail id, else send an email on the helpline to get your credentials.
Q. Can I change my paper appearing mode from Hindi to English?
JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted online. Candidates can choose the medium of the question paper on their screen during the examination.
