How to Check Fee Payment Status?

What sometimes happens, due to technical glitches the payment doesn’t get through successfully. Since this can happen to anyone, just be wise and check the status of fee payment at the NTA official website. If it shows ‘OK’, you will be able to get a printout of the confirmation or acknowledgement page. What if the status shows ‘Not Ok’? Here’s what you should do –

  • Check whether the fee is paid through e-challan by depositing cash, get in touch with the particular bank and update the status on the web portal.
  • In case, you have paid through a credit or debit card and the status is still not okay, be assured that you are going to get a refund. The transaction is not successful, and you will receive the amount back to the original mode of payment within 7-10 days. It is advised to make the payment once again and recheck the status.

Step VI - Take the printout of the confirmation page

After the application fee status is ‘OK’, take a print of the confirmation page for future reference. Candidates are not required to send the hardcopy of the confirmation page to NTA.
