Total Questions Reduced from 90 to 75, Giving Equal Weightage to All Subjects
Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics will have equal distribution in the forthcoming exam, i.e. in January 2020. Earlier, candidates used to appear for all 90 questions. From this year, it will be 75 (Physics – 25, Chemistry – 25 and Mathematics - 25) instead of 90. Moreover, 20 questions in each subject will be in MCQs and the remaining 5 questions will require answers in numerical value.
Sanjay Sharma, the founder of a coaching centre, said, “Possibly the number of questions has been reduced since students usually consume time in switching subjects during the three- hour online examination”. He further added, “We still have to see if the difficulty level of these questions will consume double the time than solving a problem in multiple-choice mode.”
