How to Fill Up Application Form of JEE Main 2018
The JEE Main Exam Application form fill up is a three-step procedure. The candidates should read thoroughly the information brochure before starting the process. Step 1 (Fill Application Form):
- Go to the official website of JEE Main Exam 2018 at www.jeemain.nic.in.
- Click on the JEE Main Exam link.
- The candidates should read the given instructions carefully.
- Click on the checkbox and proceed to the next stage.
- The candidates have to fill up the required information in the given field. The details are like:

Choose Password:
The candidates have to choose a password and security pin for login to the JEE Main website.
- The Candidates will be redirected to a page where they have to review all the entered information for the last time. They can edit any information is required.
- Now click on the Submit button for the next step.
- You need to secure the system generated unique form number along with a password

Step 2 (Photograph and Signature):
You have to log in to the official JEE Main exam website from the dashboard with the system generated form number and newly created password. Now you have to upload scanned passport size photo (4 to 40 kb) in JPEG format, scanned signature and scanned thumb impression. Now you have to verify and submit the documents.
Documents Required for Step 2 of Application Form Fill Up Procedure
- Photograph
- A recent coloured photograph without any spectacles.
- There must be the name of the candidate on the photograph
- There must be the date of taking the photograph
- Required dimension will be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm
- The format of the photo will be JPEG
- The size of the photograph will be between 4 kb to 40 kb
- The photograph must be clear
- Signature
- The signature should be done by the candidate only
- First, draw a rectangle of 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm on a clear rectangle sheet
- Now do the signature inside the rectangular box
- Now scan the signature and crop the rectangular box clearly
- The file size should be in between 1 kb to 30 kb
Step 3 (Payment Process):
Now the candidates go to the ‘Pay Exam fee’ link. They can choose the mode of payment either online or e-challan. In online mode, you have to pay the amount via net banking or debit card or credit card. And for the e-challan mode, the candidates have to make a challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank or ICICI bank. No demand draft, money order or cheque will be accepted. An acknowledgement page will appear which you can print for future reference.
If the transaction page does not appear, it will be cancelled and the money will be refunded to your account within 7-8 business days. You need to do the transaction again to submit the form successfully.

You need to do online payment in this step. Your debit card or credit card should be ready in your hand to make the payment.

Eligibility for Applying in JEE Main Exam 2018:
Date of Birth: The candidates whose date of birth on or after 1st October 1993 for general category and 1st October 1988 for SC/ST/PWD categories are eligible to appear for the examination. The Secondary Education Board or Council Certificate will be considered as the proof of DOB.
Qualifying Eligibility: The candidates who have passed the class 12th or equivalent examination in the year 2016 or 2017 are eligible to appear on the examination. The candidates who will appear the 12th-grade exam in 2018 are also eligible. All the candidates must have 5 compulsory subjects in their 12th standard for applying in the JEE examination.
