IIT JAM 2021 Application Form – Registration Date Extended Till 17th October 2020

The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has officially announced the online applications dates for the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2021. Interested candidates can submit the online application form for IIT JAM entrance exam 2021 through the official website of IISc Bengaluru. The IIT JAM 2021 application process will commence on 10th September 2020 and will go on until 17^th October 2020. Earlier the last date to submit applications was 15th October 2020, however, IISc Bengaluru has decided to extend the application dates by two more days now.

IIT JAM is a national level examination organized by IISc Bangalore to offer admission into M.Sc. (four semesters), M.Sc. Ph.D., and M.Sc. PhD dual degree etc. programmes at IITs. Documents Required for IIT JAM Application Form 2021 -

Before moving ahead with the application process, candidates must ensure that they keep the following documents ready. This will make the application submission process smooth.

• A valid ID proof (the same ID proof (in original) should be carried to the examination hall)
• Details in the qualification certificate
• College name and address with PIN code
• Choice of examination cities
• Good quality scanned image of candidate’s photograph with size 3.5cm x 4.5cm in JPEG format. Maximum resolution of the image should be 480x640 pixels, and the minimum resolution should be 240x320 pixels. File size should be 5KB to 200KB.
• Good quality scanned image of candidate’s signature with size 2cm x 7cm in JPEG format. Maximum resolution of the image should be 160x560 pixels, and the minimum resolution should be 80x280 pixels. File size should be 5KB to 100KB.
• Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of PWD certificate (if applicable)
• Net banking/debit card/credit card details

IIT JAM 2021 Online Application Process:

Applications for JAM 2021 are submitted through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) only. The application process can be completed in the following two phases:

• Registering for JAM 2021 Exam
• Filling the JAM 2021 Application Form

Registering for JAM 2021

• Go to IISc Bangalore official website.
• Now, from the Important Updates, click on the first link which states JOAPS Portal is Operational Now!
• It will redirect you on the JOAPS portal, and then scroll down the page to explore “New User? Register Here”
• Enter details asked for such as candidate’s name, email address, and mobile number. Set a password, solve the arithmetic expression, and read the Disclaimer.
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• On successful registration, an email containing your Enrolment ID will be sent to the registered email ID.

Filling the JAM 2021 Application Form

• Now log-in at the JOAPS portal with your registered enrolment ID and password to complete the application form.
• Enter details such as personal information, address, qualification details, choice of examination cities, etc.
• Upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, and other certificates.
• Make fee payment and submit the application form.
• After successful submission of the application form, take a printout of the completed application form.

Application Fee

The JAM 2021 application fee can be paid only through the online mode until 15^th October 2020. Addition bank charges are to be borne by the candidate. Candidates must note that the application fee can be paid through online via debit card, credit card or net banking etc. Please note that the application fee will be non-refundable.

About IIT JAM Exam

IIT JAM entrance exam is conducted every year for admission to various post-graduate degree programmes offered at different IITs and integrated PhD programmes offered at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The programmes include full-time M.Sc. (two years), M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. and M.Sc.-M.Tech. The exam is conducted on a rotational basis by the zonal IITs.
