IGNOU 2021 - Courses, Eligibility, Admission, Application Process and Other Details
Wikipedia says, “IGNOU was founded to serve the Indian population by means of distance and open education, providing higher education and opportunities to all segments of society.” The above statement cannot be refuted as IGNOU, expanded as Indira Gandhi National Open University, aims not only to set standards, coordinate and encourage but also to strengthen the massive, talented human resources through quality education. The Open University has been authorised to –

The varsity offers 230 academic courses including Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, online programmes, Doctoral Degree, M.Phil programmes, etc. Approximately 20 per cent of Indian students are enrolled with IGNOU for higher education.
IGNOU offers admissions through ODL (Open and Distance Learning) mode. The University seeks applications from students twice a year for January and July sessions. For the January session, the online registration begins in the month of November. For the July session, the registration starts in May. The IGNOU 2021 registration process for January session admission is active on the official website. The last date to submit the application for admission to all Bachelor, Master, Certificate and Diploma programmes is 15th April 2021.
Admission to various IGNOU courses is done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying degree. There are certain courses for which the Open University organises entrance tests. In an academic year, it administers TEE (Term End Examination) two times – June and December.
