IGNOU BEd 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who meet the following eligibility conditions can get admission into IGNOU B.Ed. programme on clearing the entrance exam:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and/ or Master’s degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Commerce/ Humanity with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Mathematics and Science with at least 55% marks.

For B.Ed. (ODL), candidates with the following qualifications will be eligible:

• Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
• Those who have completed an NCTE recognised teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.

Reservation

Candidates belonging to Sc/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories are entitled to relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility as per the Central Government’s rules.

Kashmiri migrants and war widows will be entitled to reservations as per the University rules.

• After successfully uploading the scanned documents, candidates are required to make the fee payment. The application fee for the IGNOU B.Ed. entrance test can be paid via online mode using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking.
