ICMAI CMA Foundation 2019 (June): Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus and Recruitment Details
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is responsible for conducting, managing and administering the ICMAI CMA exam. Candidates completing all three stages of CMA programmes – Foundation, Intermediate and Final – become a Cost and Management Accountant (CMA). Earlier known as the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), the Institute of Cost Accountants of India will organise the ICMAI CMA Foundation exam twice a year – June and December. The ICMAI CMA Foundation 2019 will be held in June in offline mode, for a time period of three hours.

ICMAI CMA Foundation 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have submitted their applications for ICMAI CMA Foundation examination 2019 (June) will be able to access the admit card on May 30. Well, such applicants must ensure that they meet the eligibility conditions as prescribed by ICMAI. Check the ICMAI CMA Foundation 2019 eligibility below –
- Candidates appearing in the CMA Foundation 2019 examination must have passed Class X or equivalent level exam from a recognised Board
- Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent level test from a recognised Board
- Or, hold a Diploma in Commerce by any State Board of Technical Education or All Indian Council for Technical Education
- Or, hold a Diploma in Rural Service Examination by the National Council of Higher Education
- Those who have previously cleared the CMA Foundation exam need not turn up for the test again. Such candidates can appear in the CMA Intermediate exam 2019 directly.

The step-by-step methods to complete the CMA Foundation application 2019 are mentioned underneath.
- Visit the official website (www.icmai.in)
- Click on the link ‘Students Portal’
- ‘Online Examination Form’
- Click on the link ‘Students’
- Under the section ‘Activities’ you are required to select ‘Online Application Form’
- From the drop-down menu, you need to choose the ‘Foundation’ course
- At this stage, you need to apply online, provide all important details, upload documents, remit the application fee and submit the form
Note: Candidates are advised to preserve all the log-in credentials (application number, email ID, registration number, mobile number and DOB) for future reference. Attested copies of 3 passport-size photos, 10th certificate and 10+2 certificate and must be to be enclosed with the application forms.

The fee structure section for foreign students states, “Students registered in India under any Regional Council/ Chapter/ Recognized Oral Coaching Centres, but now residing outside India for the purpose of employment or otherwise, shall also be eligible to claim exemption from CSS and/or Computer Training (for Intermediate), IOTP (for Final), provided they apply to the Directorate of Studies, along with the prescribed fees, as applicable to a Foreign Student, within the prescribed time limit. Students from foreign countries should remit the requisite fee in US$ only to the Head Quarters along with copies of documentary evidence of domicile (outside India).”
CMA Foundation Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2019
The examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode (offline mode). Candidates have to provide descriptive answers. There are 4 papers, and each paper carries 100 marks.

ICMAI CMA Foundation Admit Card 2019 –
CMA aspirants who have successfully submitted their applications for the entrance examination will be issued the ICMAI CMA Foundation 2019 Admit Card tentatively on 30 May. Also called the hall tickets admit cards must be carried to the venue on the day of the test.
