Himachal Pradesh Class 12 Result 2020 - Steps to Check and Results’ Highlights

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has announced the class 12th board exam result 2020 on 18th June at 11:40 AM. Candidates can check the HP Board class 12th result at the official website - http://hpbose.org using their roll numbers. The senior secondary examinations were scheduled to be conducted from 4th to 27th March 2020. However, due to the nationwide lockdown, the papers from 23rd to 27th were cancelled. Only the Geography paper was postponed to be conducted on 8th June 2020. However, it was also cancelled due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation.

Steps to check the HP Board Class 12th Result 2020

• Go to the official website - http://hpbose.org
• Under the ‘Student Corner’ drop-down, click on ‘ Result’ option.
• Now, click on ‘12th (Regular/Compartment/Additional/Improvement/Diploma Holder/ Diploma Holder (Re-appear) Examination, March 2020’ link.
• Enter your roll number and ‘Search’ for the result.
• The result will appear on the screen; check your marks and the print the result if you want.

The result can also be checked through SMS. Send the message ‘HP12<space><roll number> from your registered mobile number to 5676750.

Re-Evaluation

Students who are not satisfied with their result can submit a request for re-evaluation within 15 days from the result declaration day. The last date to submit the forms for rechecking was 13th July 2020. The fee to apply for re-evaluation is ₹ 500 per subject and for the re-checking process, it is ₹ 400. Rechecking involves re-totalling of marks and checking if all the answers are properly marked. However, re-evaluation involves checking of the entire answer sheet again by another teacher. The result of rechecking/ re-evaluation is released at the official website.

HP Board Class 12th Result Highlights 2020

• A total of 86,633 students have appeared for the Himachal Pradesh Class 12th board exam. Out of this, 65,654 students have passed the exam. Thus, the pass percentage this year is 76.07%.
•  31,439 boys and 34,215 girls have passed the exam.
