AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2022 Eligibility

The candidates must be a degree holder in engineering (full time, i.e. 4 years) or diploma in engineering (three years) from AICTE, GOI recognized institutes. Read on to know other eligibility details.

• Only Indian citizens can apply for the posts.
• Candidates with a degree/ diploma on or after 2021 are eligible.

Age Limit: As of 01.07.2022, they should be 26 years (maximum) of age. However, there are relaxations for PWD, OBC and SC/ ST.

Upper Age Limit:

• 5 years upper age limit relaxation for SC/ ST and PWD candidates
• 3 years upper age limit relaxation for OBC candidates

Note: The official notification states, “In case of non-availability of candidates in the reserved category, it will be filled from other reserved categories/ General categories.”

AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2022 Application Process

Indian nationals are eligible to apply for AAI Apprentice recruitment 2021. Before applying, the candidates must register themselves. It is a two-step process – Registration and Application.

#1 Registration Process –

The interested candidates, who have not registered themselves with BOAT, should register themselves before applying for the AAI 2022 exam. Only Degree/ Diploma candidates will be able to register at www.mhrdnats.gov.in (BOAT), while ITI Trade candidates can register at www.apprenticeship.gov.in (RDAT).

At BOAT:

• Visit the official website.
• Look for the “Enrol” button on the top right (next to ‘Log in’).
• Complete the registration process by providing the details asked.

At RDAT:

• Visit the official website of RDAT.
• Check for “Apprentices” on the front bar.
• It will take you to the registration page where you need to provide details and complete the registration process. Here, the candidates have to give their personal details, technical qualification details, qualification details, contact details and trade preference.
• Submit documents (DOB certificate, Photograph and Signature) in the prescribed formats.

#2 Application Form –

Now, registered candidates can go ahead and submit the application form. Visit the official website of AAI, complete the process and “forward scanned copy of the application to [email protected]”.

• Visit the official website of the Airports Authority of India (mentioned above).
• Select the link “Engagement of Apprenticeship in AAI, NER”.
• The application form will appear on the screen in PDF format.
• After submitting the form, you need to send it to the given email address, i.e. [email protected].

Candidates Not Eligible –

Candidates who have previously terminated their apprenticeship mid-way or completed their apprenticeship or pursuing an apprenticeship with other organisations cannot apply for the recruitment exam.

Mode of Selection –

This is very important. Candidates applying for AAI Apprentice 2022 must understand the mode of selection. The Authority will conduct the exam. The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. They will have their documents verified. If selected, the candidates will be posted at locations they have mentioned at the time of the registration process.

General Instructions & Guidelines –

• Don’t miss the deadline. The last date of receipt of the applications is by 6 pm.
• The shortlisted candidate will be intimated about the interview via their registered email ID.
• SC/ ST and OBC candidates will get the reservation facility. In case of the non-availability of candidates in the reserved category, the general category candidates can opt for the same.
